Cobology

Paul Devon Young has been designing and building some experimental kilns, built with a modified version of the traditional cob mixes.

Made by altering the ratio of certain ingredients and adding a variety of new ones, by adding Refractory clays, Granite clays, Grogs sand and also replacing the traditional straw with dry Bracken-Fern.

Paul has completed two large kilns which have fired the next generation of ceramic pieces.
